Upon arrival, walk towards your right to adjacent pier and take a small boat to "Sai Yuen" which is a pleasant 5 minutes ride. These boats are operated by local villagers and cost HKD $10-20. Once there, follow the path straight on to enter the village up the small hill for a few minutes until you reach the end. The large red door is the entrance to Sai Yuen Farm. *Alternatively, the walk from Cheng Chau Pier to Sai Yuen Farm takes approximately 20-25 minutes. WHAT WILL THE WEATHER BE LIKE?
TBA

WHAT KIND OF FACILITIES WILL BE AVAILABLE ON THE LAND?
We are privileged to have a number of clean hot water showers and bathrooms located on the farm. While there will be moderate cell phone coverage we ask that all sisters gift yourself the time of being offline and truly retreat within yourselves. There will be an area for children's camp as well as a ceremonial yurt to book private counselling or treatment sessions if needed.

WILL I NEED TO BRING ANY MONEY?
Whilst barter and trade is always preferred, do bring some money for the Sustainable Market, Lunch, and Trade Blanket. Almost all classes at the gathering are free and included within your ticket price, however certain classes which require extra materials will incur a sliding scale donation fee. You must provide your own lunch. No credit cards will be accepted.

WHEN DO I SIGN UP FOR CLASSES?
Gardeners will announce their offerings and schedule after Opening Ceremony Friday 2pm.  Sign-ups for Wisdomshares/Sessions may be done after the announcements on a first come - first serve basis and placements for each class is limited. We encourage you to be open and  flow with the energy and magic the Gathering brings. Changes to classes or scheduling will be posted on a large information board on the land.

CAN I JUST COME FOR THE DAY?
We ask that women make the commitment to being part of the whole journey of The Garden Gathering. This means arriving on time and staying the full length of the duration. If you choose to only come for one day, there are 1-day and 2-day options available. To respect the container and space we are creating it is important to honour this time for yourself and others by fully connecting to the experience.

WHAT IS THE TRADE BLANKET?
Like our ancestors, trade hand-made creations (food, jewelry, art - anything!) , books, cards, crystals, seeds, cloaks, oils, tools, paintings. This a such a gorgeous part of the entire weekend. This is a moment when we get to be up close and personal with our crafts and trade. DO participate. It's so much fun.

IS THERE FIRST AID ON SITE?
Yes, there is a first aid set-up with 2 registered nurses on site. In addition, St. John Hospital which offers 24-hour Accident and Emergency Services is a 10-minute drive from the Farm.

HOW CAN I APPLY TO BE A SEVA SISTER?
We are always looking for support and helping hands. Please check “The Bulletin” tab for all the areas that are seeking support! If you would like to assist prior to the Gathering or have other talents which would be most useful please get in touch with us at info@thegardengathering.com.
