Macrame

with Alanna Emmerton

Let the meditative art of creating with your hands nurture your inner artist. Macramé is one of the world’s oldest crafts, and roots back to the 13th century Arabic word migramah which means ‘fringe’. The knot weaving art of Macramé has been used by women all over the world to create intricate decorative objects such as wall hangings, plant hangers, clothing and accessories. In this workshop, you will learn a variety of basic Macramé knotting techniques to create your own hand woven key chain, and leave with the skills to continue on your own Macramé journey.
